The award ceremony will take place at the beginning of the school year at Trafalgar Square. The mayor of London will open up the ceremony. He will speak about the importance of multicultural education. We organised this contest to encourage the exchange of information with this fabulous culture. A copy of the same contest will take part in the same time at Japanese schools, on the topic of British Culture. During the year, we will communicate to the Japanese side all the sites of the participants from the UK. At the same time, they will send over their Japanese portal all the submission from their schools.
The consulate will be the important part to intermediate all the material exchanged between UK and Japan. There will be a similar award ceremony happening on Japan, where important members from the consulate and the Educational system will be present. We hope that this educational experiment will be just the beginning of a beautiful friendship between our countries.
All the participants can take part in the award ceremony. However, transportation costs will not be covered. However, we cover the cost of one night’s accommodation, meals included. The number of places is restricted to 300 students. Submissions for the accommodation will be granted only if the team participated in the educational challenge.
The winner team will spend a day with the ambassador of Japan in UK and with the members he selects. The whole day organisation is secret. They will let students taste important parts from the Japanese culture, presented by their Japanese associated members. We don’t want to spoil it for you, but we hear there will be delicious Japanese food, tea ceremony served by a geisha group, samurai demonstration and calligraphy lessons.
We wish you good luck and hope to see you at the award ceremony, among the winners!
